Everest Cale are back on the scene with ‘I’m Here‘, the first single from their upcoming album And We Sing, slated to release in 2026. This marks the first release since 2021 for the Brooklyn-based rock band, and this track feels like a big welcome back.
‘I’m Here’ is about checking in on a friend who’s struggling and reminding them they’re not alone. Singer and guitarist Brett Treacy says the idea came from staying close to a long-distance friend, even if it’s just talking on the phone during a walk. The song builds musically under that theme into a strong wall of sound filled with guitars and drums before pulling back to that simple message of support.
The band recorded ‘I’m Here’ at producer Parks Vallely’s studio in Brooklyn. It was the first song they tracked for the new album and it immediately set the tone for the rest of the record. Lead guitarist Jeremy Kolmin borrowed a vintage Marshall amp for the recording, which gives the solos that proper rock ’n’ roll timbre.
For this album, Everest Cale wanted to get back to the basics. Treacy says the goal was to have fun making music with their friends. ‘I’m Here’ became the starting point because it captures that energy. It’s a rock song about showing up for someone and being real about it.
Everest Cale have been praised for their raw, emotional rock style since their early releases, and ‘I’m Here’ continues that trend while simultaneously opening a new chapter in their journey.
