Cris Cap’s warm debut album ‘Night Sky’

Cris Cap returns with Night Sky, a long-awaited debut album from an artist wrapped up in a constantly refining soulful atmosphere. The collection is rooted across blues, soul and indie-pop and includes songs previously released as far back as 2022 among the brand new tracks.

As always, the keys are a highlight, with Cap at the helm for a cool, sleek Rhodes tone that epitomises both the glitter and heartfelt tenderness the artist has to offer. Featuring a range of impressive vocalists, audience’s are treated to catchy melodies throughout, often backed by punchy drum rhythms, lush bass grooves and earworm orchestrations. Life-filled themes of romance and coming of age are staples throughout. If you’re after some joyful escapism with music that is full-bodied with the best of nostalgic and contemporary soul styles, this is for you.

In Cris Cap’s words, “‘Night Sky’ is an album about scale… We are small, but our emotions are not. Love, risk, youth, memory, and courage are themes I wanted to embed in this release, and they are unfolding within something infinitely larger than us.”

Based in Germany, Cris Cap has always been a music lover, falling in love with 70s rock and playing piano from the age of seven. His career as a TV director has not dampened that adoration, and since he began releasing music in 2020, Cap has garnered steady praise for a string of singles.
