Fragile Animals announce tour and EP with single ‘History’

Fragile Animals have unveiled a new single, ‘History’, announcing the upcoming release of their new EP, Dead Stop, as well as a UK and EU tour. The atmosphere is raw and punchy, with a fuzzy tone laced with shrill distorted feedback and a hypnotic lead vocal.

The guitars wail in a noisy commotion, before being pulled back and restricted into a restless underbelly to more angelic but slightly haunting lead vocals. This dynamic is beautifully fragile, feeling very powerful with the sense that the tension could shatter at any moment. Nonetheless, it’s filled with infectious melodies, whether from the roaring instrumentation or the lead vocal. The final moments are a fantastic climax.

The band shares, “Lyrically, History was me raging about censorship of artistic expression. It’s a dangerously slippery slope, and a damn scary world we’re living in that we find ourselves needing to defend artist freedom against censorship. Songwriting/recording-wise the outro section of History is probably my favourite part of the record. We went back and forth over it as a band a lot. Usually, if we have to work so hard on something it’s not actually any good. But we kept fighting for this song, and for once it actually was worth it.”

Fragile Animals have earned a global reputation with radio support and playlist placements. They’ve earned awards already, but are by no means slowing momentum, continuing their live presence with dates across Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, Ireland and France ahead of further festival slots.
