Barcelona’s acclaimed spoken-word artist and storyteller Msb Mario, known to audiences as El Niño de la Pili, is set to bring his captivating live show to the UK this summer with two intimate performances in Newcastle and Brighton.

Following a remarkable run of 25 shows across his hometown of Barcelona, Msb Mario will perform at The Cluny in Newcastle on June 4th and Folklore Rooms in Brighton on June 27th, offering UK audiences a rare opportunity to experience a performance that blurs the boundaries between music, poetry and theatre.

Described by Spanish publication Kamikaze Sonoro as “an experience that goes beyond music“, Msb Mario has built a reputation for creating deeply personal performances that resonate long after the final note. Combining spoken word with elements of flamenco, reggaeton, rock and electronic music, his work explores themes of identity, emotion and human connection through vivid storytelling and raw expression.

His recent rise has seen him perform at some of Barcelona’s most respected venues, including Pacha Barcelona, City Hall, Apolo Bar and Hotel Ocean Drive Barcelona. Earlier this year, he also made history at London’s Hootananny Brixton, becoming the first Spanish spoken-word artist to perform at the renowned venue.

Rather than presenting a conventional concert, Msb Mario’s live shows unfold as immersive narratives. Accompanied by cajón and guitar, he moves seamlessly between spoken-word passages, live music and performance art, creating an atmosphere that feels intimate, spontaneous and completely unique. No two performances are ever the same, with each show shaped by the energy of the room and the stories being told.

Beyond the stage, Msb Mario has cultivated a significant online following, amassing more than five million views on YouTube and establishing himself as one of the most prominent voices in contemporary Spanish spoken word.

With upcoming appearances in both the north and south of England, these UK dates mark another important step in introducing his distinctive artistic vision to new audiences.

Upcoming UK Shows

For fans of artists such as Bad Bunny and Ed Sheeran looking for something entirely different yet equally authentic, Msb Mario offers an unforgettable live experience that sits somewhere between a concert, a poetry reading and a theatrical performance.
