Kansah turns up the heat on new afro-fusion anthem ‘Sexy’

UK-based artist Kansah returns with Sexy. Blending Afrobeats, Afro-pop, Afro house, UK rap, R&B, and dance-driven production, the track captures the fluid, genre-crossing identity that has become central to his sound.

From the first beat, “Sexy” leans into movement. Driven by infectious percussion, warm bass grooves, and melodic vocal hooks, the track is designed with the dancefloor in mind, balancing confidence and playfulness with an effortless sense of rhythm.

Speaking about the release, Kansah explains the intention behind its evolution: “I wanted to create something sexy for summer and festivals/clubs. What better than write a track called ‘Sexy’. Originally the track had a deeper male vocal on the chorus and was more of a pure Afrobeats track, however it was completely stripped back and reproduced to fit into an Afro house fusion sound for a more sexy festival feel.

That shift in direction is key to understanding the final version of “Sexy”. Written in Los Angeles and recorded between the US and UK, the track evolved from a traditional Afrobeats foundation into a more expansive Afro house-inspired fusion, giving it a sharper club edge while retaining its melodic warmth.

The result is a record that feels built for shared spaces—festival crowds, packed clubs, and open-air summer nights. Its rhythm-first production and smooth vocal delivery reflect Kansah’s ability to move between genres without losing cohesion or identity.

Smooth, vibrant, and festival-ready, “Sexy” is Kansah at his most effortless and crowd-focused.
