The masterful songs of James Taylor are revisited and reimagined in brilliant fashion on ‘CaliAmericana Vol. IV’.
The record kicks off with an absolute classic called “Carolina In My Mind” performed by Will Bremen and this artist truly captured the pure essence of the original song. Bright sunshine and strong moonshine washes over you on “Carolina In My Mind” where the listener hears polished vocals and a superb performance overall. Next on “Happy Now (Cait’s Version)”, Céleigh Chapman performs with such finesse and delivers pleasing vocals making this cut a must listen! Track three, “Water to Wine” by Omar Velasco, is flowing with emotional chords and soothing notes that are simply intoxicating.
On the following number, “Country Road”, Jess Bush sings like a sassy angel delivering a sweet sentiment and tender feel. Next, Mendeleyev decided to dig deep and give you a unique tone on “Fire and Rain” where the poignant vocals/lyrics will grab you. Get ready for music that will make you smile on “Memphis” performed by Will Bremen. The acoustic guitar & lyrics really stand out on “Memphis” as Bremen proves he is a standout musician. Prepare for sweet strumming and nice melody on “Something in the Way She Moves” done by Omar Velasco.
The elegant and delicate touch makes way for a comforting sound from start to finish on “Something in the Way She Moves”. On track eight, “Stick”, by Jess Bush, there is such a richness in her voice that offers a tremendous amount of depth musically. Céleigh Chapman has an incredibly strong presence on “You Can Close Your Eyes” where she is vocally & musically supreme. The audience receives a fun-filled finish on “Sounds On Us” performed by Mendeleyev. With plenty of spirit & fire in the air, “Sounds On Us” engulfs us and fully satisfies one’s musical appetite.
