Pineysseus Sky blends rock and hip-hop on new single ‘Weak Shoulders’

Columbus, Ohio band Pineysseus Sky just dropped their brand new single ‘Weak Shoulders,’ marking the project’s second song on streaming platforms.

Made up of Schuyler Kosak and Aiden Pine, the duo blends rock and hip-hop to create a sound that’s heavy, emotional and unique.

The track starts with a Jersey club beat and crescendos into a pulsing jam with electric guitars riffing over the beat.

The repeated line “This song came together with a jersey beat. We wanted to push what you could do with something simple as a jersey beat and make something new and fresh from it.”
the band says.

“The song explores old and new ideas combined, creating something we have a hard time categorizing.”

‘Weak Shoulders’ blends distorted guitars with hip-hop beats while digging into themes of love, pressure, and carrying emotional weight.

“Try to balance all of you, but your love is so heavy and I got weak shoulders.”

The track does a good job of providing listeners with a taste of Pineysseus Sky’s unique approach. They have a knack for mixing styles, trying new ideas, and writing songs that come from an authentic headspace. Dig in and jump on board because ‘Weak Shoulders’ signals it’s just the beginning of what’s to come from the young project.
