Chelsea Jones returns with ‘Fairgrounds’

Chelsea Jones is a singer-songwriter born and raised in Lehi, Utah. Inspired by artists such as Tracy Chapman and Joni Mitchell, she believes that the best music tells a story. She takes pride in writing lyrics that feel like musical journals, documenting meaningful moments from her life in a way that can be shared with an audience. Above all, Chelsea hopes her music reaches listeners who can relate to her experiences and find comfort in her songs.

Only a year after releasing her first single, “Saturn,” Chelsea released her debut album, “Fairgrounds.” The album explores themes of hope, longing, and self-discovery, offering listeners an intimate look into her experiences and emotions. She created the album in its entirety with producer David Devaney, working between Counterpoint Studios and Vibehaus Studios in Salt Lake City, Utah.

“Fairgrounds” is defined by rich guitar arrangements paired with folk-inspired percussion, creating a warm and reflective sound. Chelsea’s songwriting remains at the heart of the record, allowing each song to feel personal while still leaving room for listeners to connect their own experiences to the stories she tells.

Beyond her recorded music, Chelsea frequently visits and collaborates with local venues and establishments. She has performed small shows at The Speakeasy and Java Junkie in Provo, Utah, where her intimate style translates naturally to a live setting. Her performances create an inviting atmosphere that encourages audiences to slow down, listen closely, and become part of the story.

Chelsea Jones is an artist whose music feels honest, thoughtful, and deeply personal. With a sound rooted in folk influences and songwriting that draws from real experiences, she creates music that feels both intimate and relatable. Whether experienced through headphones or in a small live venue, her warm and introspective style invites listeners to sit with the music, connect with the story, and perhaps find a little comfort of their own.
