Annie Elie releases new single ‘Ever Since’

Annie Elie returns, after some time away from the spotlight, with her glorious bossa-nova-inspired single Ever Since. Co-produced by Dave Hagan, a Grammy Winner, Ever Since is elegant, complete with an enchanting vocal from the Florida-hailing artist. With Jazz training shining through in her performance, Annie Elie explains the formation of her new single,

“‘Ever Since’ began as an improvisation while I was living in the jungles of Kauaʻi. The melody and words came through almost all at once, and it felt less like I was writing a song and more like I was remembering something I already knew. At its heart, the song is about that innate knowing we carry before the world starts telling us who we’re supposed to be. There’s a playfulness to it, but also something deeply spiritual—the feeling that life itself is a gift, however it unfolds. Recording it in 432 Hz felt like a natural extension of that intention. I wanted the song to feel like remembering who you were created to be. Remembering that you were created to create.”

Sharing stages with Big Thief, Marcus King and Gabe Simon, Annie’s charming writing and performance style has impressed fans and industry alike. Already championed by Grammy nominees for her songwriting via multiple awards, Ever Since foreshadows the release of her upcoming EP Alchemy.
