Burning Touch is the newest single from Athens-born Niya. Now living in Texas, between Austin and San Antonio, the well-traveled artist first earned acclaim through her Sing For Greece submission in 2026 in the country’s Eurovision selection process.
Led by Niya’s forceful vocals, supported by layered harmonies, the production is stunning; the writing is beyond Niya’s years. Discussing the release, Niya explains, “Burning Touch has a special place in my heart. It is one of the most fun writing and recording processes I have ever had and always makes me want to get up and dance. This song is for anyone who ever feels stuck in love and is a reminder to always. Just let it out or dance it out. Burning Touch went through many phases and represents them all. It started as a piano ballad, then slower pop, and now is a Greek dance Pop Song.”
Drawing on 80s pop and inspired by Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, and Adele, Niya’s writing style is that of a storyteller translating her own experiences into something relatable for listeners; Burning Touch does just that.
