Sover and Quinn to Debut New Music with Their New Bands While Revisiting the Hits and Highlights of Their Storied Careers
Two of Philadelphia’s most virtuosic guitar players, Greg Sover and Brian Quinn, are joining forces for a special evening of guitar-driven rock, blues, and musical firepower at The Sellersville Theater on Tuesday, December 15. During this exclusive show, two of the city’s most formidable guitarists will share the stage for the very first time, performing brand new songs from their latest projects as well as the hits that have made them the forces they are today.
Tickets are available now at Greg Sover and Brian Quinn Band Tickets.
Sover, who has built a reputation as a powerful live performer and genre-defying musician, blending rock, blues, soul, country, R&B, hip-hop, and reggae with guitar-driven intensity, has shared the stage with such artists as Walter Trout, Sonny Landreth, Popa Chubby, Marcus King, the Yardbirds, Jimmy Vivino, Jeffrey Gaines, Tommy Conwell & the Young Rumblers, and David Uosikkinen’s In the Pocket. He has released four recordings—Songs of a Renegade, Jubilee, Parade, and HIS-STORY—through his independent Grounded Soul Records label. His most recent album, HIS-STORY, featured legendary Jimi Hendrix Experience and Band of Gypsys bassist Billy Cox on two tracks, including Sover’s interpretations of Hendrix’s “Remember” and “Manic Depression,” which earned him critical acclaim, including Rock and Roll Blues Muse, who wrote “Like Hendrix, Sover touches the Eternal and lets us feel it, too.”
Now, armed with new music and a new band, Sover is ready to debut his more roots-driven, rock n’ roll side as he returns home for this one-night-only performance.
Joining Sover is Quinn, the former lead guitarist for multi-platinum rock band Candlebox, who is also entering a new musical chapter with his latest project the Brian Quinn Band. Trading in the arena-rock spotlight for a darker sound rooted in country, Americana, and rock, Quinn is creating music built around grit, loss, redemption, and storytelling that he describes as “Dark Country.”
He debuted the first single, “Until Fall,” with the Brian Quinn Band in 2026, introducing his new sonic direction while retaining the guitar-driven intensity that has defined his career. Hailed as an “assertive pivot that trades polished radio trends for raw, unfiltered honesty” (Eric Alper), the track was recorded at the legendary Studio 4 in Conshohocken, PA (home to such artists as Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, Anthrax, and Lauren Hill) and showcases Quinn’s evolution as an artist with its intricate twangy layers, bluesy textures, and heavier riffs.
His latest song, “Cardinal,” a more ethereal, atmospheric track that explores themes of love, loss, and remembrance, is scheduled for a late fall 2026 release.
Quinn’s career includes 11 years with Candlebox (during which he appeared on five albums and helped propel the band’s iconic hit “Far Behind” back in to the Billboard charts at No. 3—30 years after its original release), as well as a founding member of one of Philly’s biggest acts Octane, and of nationally-signed recording rock band Fosterchild (SMG/ILG/WARNER). He has also performed with such artists as with Metallica, Slash’s Snakepit, Judas Priest, Gene Simmons, Disturbed, Godsmack, Sevendust, Shinedown, 3 Doors Down, Deftones, Warren Haynes and many others.
Together, Sover and Quinn offer a night built around the instrument that helped define rock ’n’ roll. From soaring leads and muscular riffs to blues-infused grooves, improvisation, and emotionally charged songwriting, these two Philadelphia guitarists promise an experience where musicianship takes center stage—and where two guitar gunslingers get the chance to let it rip.
