Leighton isn’t just an emerging pop artist, she has synesthesia, which means she experiences music in colour and emotion. Because of this, she doesn’t just write songs, she carves vibrant worlds that empower emotion and create connection, all neatly packaged into pop songs bursting with life.

Her latest release is no exception. The track is inspired by feelings of doubt in a relationship, something many can relate to. Leighton shares, “I wrote ‘Imperfect’ during a time when I was questioning myself and my worth.” She goes on to say, “This song and this video is my reminder that real love doesn’t ask you to be perfect. It asks you to be real.”
A music video accompanies the track, starring Leighton herself, with beautiful golden sunlit scenes. The story follows someone struggling with self-doubt, but through small gestures & honest conversations, they’re reminded that love deepens when flaws are worn on their sleeve.
