Music Premiere: Kier shares new single ‘Twenty Something’

Music Crowns is proud to premiere ‘Twenty Something’, the latest single from Yorkshire singer-songwriter Kier, and the beginning of an exciting new chapter in her evolving sound.

With its candid storytelling, infectious pop sensibility and warm singer-songwriter approach, ‘Twenty Something’ captures the strange contradictions of your twenties. It is a song about uncertainty, comparison and the pressure to feel as though you are moving forward, while also finding the humour in realising that very few people have life as figured out as they appear to.

The new single sees Kier moving further into intimate singer-songwriter pop, building on the storytelling roots that have shaped her music throughout her independent career. Guitars, piano, bass, live drums, synths and electronic percussion create a polished but organic backdrop, allowing Kier’s conversational vocal and sharply observed lyrics to remain at the heart of the track.

‘Twenty Something’ follows a significant period of growth for Kier, including appearances at Tramlines Festival and C2C London, support slots with Lucy Spraggan, previous BBC Radio 1 support and more than 80 live performances throughout 2025. Following her debut album, ‘Welcome To The Strange Life’, which reached the Top Three on iTunes alongside releases from Hozier and Sam Fender, Kier is now stepping confidently into the next phase of her artistic journey.

Music Crowns is proud to premiere ‘Twenty Something’, a bright, honest and irresistibly relatable introduction to Kier’s forthcoming new era. With a second studio album taking shape ahead of its planned announcement in early 2027, this is an artist embracing change without losing sight of what made her songs connect in the first place.
