Fronted by Sienna Bordello, Black Bordello is an art-rock five-piece from England’s capital, which returns with Midheaven Tempest, a glowing new EP. Loaded with post-punk psychedelia, industrial and trip-hop leanings, the EP was produced by Balazs Altsach (Legss, Blue Bendy, Ugly). The record is expansive, loaded with raucous guitar work and packed with emotive energy.
Already supported by CLASH, DORK, Fred Perry Subculture, and BBC Radio 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq, the band is an international ensemble. Sienna Bordello, Daniel Gowers, and Jerome Alexandre were all born in East London, while keyboard and backing vocals come from Hong Kong native Melody Wayfare, and Bulgaria’s Nick Dimitriov plays bass.
Having performed throughout the UK, as well as NYC’s Colossus Festival and Left of the Dial in Rotterdam, the band follows up their second record, White Bardo, which has amassed nearly 100,000 streams across DSPs.
