A full-throttle fusion of emotive rave energy, and slick production ‘HYPE’ sees Finnish electronic music purveyor Darude team up with one of Australia’s most unpredictable and crowd-moving acts Mashd N Kutcher, for a release built to do exactly what its title promises.
The collaboration began with Darude laying the foundations: punchy drums, house piano keys and grooves inspired by the emotive sounds that have shaped his career. Mashd N Kutcher then injected their signature edge and influence from UK hard house, Melbourne bounce and their own original ‘HYPE’ rap topline. Darude completed the track with a soaring trance-infused breakdown and final mixdown, bringing the worlds together in emphatic fashion.
On the final track Darude comments, “I hope listeners let go of any negativity and feel energized by the music. Let’s come together to dance and get hyped!”
A sentiment studio collaborators Mashd N Kutcher share at heart. Adding: “After meeting Darude on tour in Australia, he sent me over some stems to work on, I really wanted to make a record that was something ‘HYPE’ for both of our shows, safe to say this is what we have!”

‘HYPE’ became the closing moment of Darude’s STORM 25 World Tour, which saw him perform in more than sixty cities across five continents honouring fans and friends for their support in his over two-decade career. Night after night, the track soundtracked the show finale as Darude stepped into the crowd to celebrate and dance with fans, marking life-long memories.
‘HYPE’ also marks the next public chapter for Vibing Out, Darude’s artist-first label platform focused on championing forward-thinking electronic music and community-driven culture.
