KEPA’s feel-good rework turns a timeless anthem into a modern summer-ready dance record
There are some songs that seem to exist outside of time. Lionel Richie’s ‘All Night Long’ is one of them; instantly recognisable, relentlessly joyful and practically impossible to hear without imagining a dancefloor.
Now, dance producer KEPA is giving the iconic anthem a fresh lease of life with ‘All Night Long (All Night)’, transforming its legendary vocal hook into a contemporary, UK-influenced dance record made for late nights, summer parties and everything in between.
Rather than trying to reinvent the magic of the original, KEPA understands what made it work in the first place: joy.
The new version keeps that sense of warmth and togetherness at its core, but surrounds it with a driving house groove, warm synth bass, piano and saxophone, creating a more club-focused sound that feels equally at home on the radio or blasting from a packed dancefloor.
“I wanted to keep the original sense of joy while giving it a completely different club energy”, explains KEPA. “For me, it captures that warm, carefree feeling of summer — freedom, connection, dancing, and staying in the moment for as long as you can.”
And that idea of escaping reality for a few hours feels particularly relevant right now.
For KEPA, music provides a chance to step away from everyday life and simply live in the moment. Interestingly, his creative world exists alongside a very different professional one: away from music, he runs a real estate development business. By night, however, his attention turns to beats, melodies and the dancefloor.
His sound draws heavily from UK dance culture, with house, UK garage and melodic electronic influences all finding their way into his productions. Rather than being tied to one particular lane, KEPA is more interested in the space where dance music, pop hooks and club energy collide.
It’s a sound that puts him in the company of artists such as Sigala, Joel Corry, Duke Dumont, MK and David Guetta, while leaving plenty of room for KEPA to develop an identity of his own.
With ‘All Night Long (All Night)’, that identity is clear: make it feel good, make it move, and don’t overthink it.
The track is ultimately an invitation to put the phone away, forget what time it is and enjoy those fleeting moments when the outside world disappears and the music takes over.
Because sometimes you don’t need a complicated soundtrack to a good night.
You just need the right song.
And KEPA’s message is simple: keep dancing. Stay in the moment. And make it last all night long.
