Militares Judías are best introduced as distortion-filled, intense, and highly literate in their craft, showcased in the controlled chaos which is the debut album(De)generación acomodada.
Eight tracks in length, the Spanish noise-rock outfit pits screeching guitars and confrontational vocals against charging rhythms, with little regard for nearby speakers or more conservative neighbors. ‘Dosis De Recuerdo’ and ‘Amapola’ capture the record at its most ferocious, channeling the primitive danger of The Stooges through the psychedelic abrasion of Spacemen 3.
Brute force is here, but not exclusively; ‘Enésima víctima’ and ‘No’ retreat into measured territory, their relative softness making the other dispersed eruptions feel more severe and of greater intensity.
Discussing the project, Militares Judías explain:
“(De)generación acomodada comprises ear-bleeding noise and softer-sounding songs recorded and mixed with everything available to us in both analog and digital realms (tape, plug-ins, even AI was used to clean some demos that were featured in the final mix). The lyrical themes are death, the illusion of freedom, and, above all, the artificial scenery life has become in 2026.”
Formed by César Sánchez and Pablo Zamora alongside producer Andy Frenx, Militares Judías have turned two years of writing into a debut that feels immediate, volatile and thoroughly considered. (De)generación acomodada may mourn a generation numbed by comfort, but there is nothing complacent about the noise it makes, and the disruption it looks set to cause.
