Nath Tavares is back with new single Might As Well

Exploring self-belief, ambition, vulnerability, and creative courage, Nath Tavares is back, hot off the back of Fooled! and OBDN’t Overachiever, with Might As Well. This buoyant soul-pop anthem is packed with polished production and Nath’s confident vocals, which are stadium-ready.

Discussing the single, Nath explains:

Might As Well is the part of the story where I decide I might as well go give music a try. I have done so much already, from moving to different places to being the most underqualified person at work and still succeeding, so why can’t I be an artist? Also, I have data to support my potential success: friends and strangers have praised my talent, I have seen how people light up when I perform, and I even made a friend’s mom cry (in a musical performance, not out of the blue). I realized I should listen to that instead of the voices in my head. Sure, failure is a potential outcome, but I welcome it because it means that I tried and I was seen. This is my heroic, full-energy realization moment!

I am especially proud of this song because it was the first song I wrote for the album, and I produced it from scratch with all the instruments I knew how to play. I love soul pop, so it was also a way to experiment with the genre. Finally, Nano Moreno, my producer, made it sound like a Marvel movie theme song with badass drums and bass, so now it really feels heroic!”

Might As Well is a compelling step forward for Nath, as she builds towards her upcoming album. The single highlights an artist growing increasingly comfortable in her own skin and showcases her undeniable talent.
