Nauci Gold unveils glorious celebratory album, The Days We Left Behind

Nauci Gold follows his new video for Dancing Gods, a single released last year, with his gloriously arranged album, The Days We Left Behind, broken into three chapters, churning through stories of loss and upheaval, in a fashion that flexes between soul, jazz, afrobeat, and funk.

Discussing the album, Nauci explains:

“The Days We Left Behind came from a period of change, loss, and learning to let go. I wanted to make a record that felt honest about that process, rather than trying to hide the difficult parts. I wrote many of the songs from a very personal place, but I also wanted the music to feel bigger than my own story, so I brought together the sounds that have always shaped me — neo-soul, jazz, Afrobeat, funk and world music. Recording it has been a long and deeply personal journey, often working from my home studio in Gran Canaria and collaborating remotely with incredible musicians and producers. In the end, the album became a way of turning those experiences into something hopeful.”

Originally from the Canary Islands, Gold has spent time in London, Los Angeles and Barcelona, experiences that inform his approach to music. In 2024, he received the Pop Eye Award for Best Soul Artist. His work has reached radio audiences in the United States and Europe, including Spain’s Radio 3, and he has performed in Spain and Mexico.
