OXLEE has built a huge online presence. Translating that into his music career, the UK-based artist, songwriter and producer has taken advantage of this 10 million-strong following to provide a foundation for his independent-to-the-core instinct.
Early tracks like ‘crazy’ and ‘up all night’ quickly picked up international traction. Since then, under the mentorship of Grammy-winning songwriter Ant Clemons, OXLEE has continued to refine his craft, attending songwriting sessions in Los Angeles, collaborating across music and commercial spaces and founding a new project, Okay The Duo, alongside his sister.
Taking a drive and vision into 2026, the upcoming release ‘SUPER VILLAIN’ is that concept’s realisation.
As OXLEE describes the upcoming track, “This song feels like me going back to my roots as an artist. When I moved back to London from Australia, I felt like an outsider in my own home, like people didn’t really accept me for who I was. That pushed me into a different mindset where I stopped trying to play nice and decided I was going to make things happen for myself, no matter what. I was chasing my dreams again, but this time with a chip on my shoulder. ‘Super Villain’ came from that energy, it’s about taking what’s mine and not letting anyone stand in my way.”
It’s a mindset that has bled into every aspect of his career and ambition. Across music, content and digital culture, OXLEE has been unapologetic and hard to ignore. Balancing virality with a committed audience, he’s laid the foundations and now builds the monument.
‘SUPER VILLAIN’ is out May 28th
