Ruby & Sasha unveils new EP ‘Outdoor Shower’

Ruby & Sasha’s Outdoor Shower is a thoughtful debut that finds beauty in the uncertainty of growing up. The four-track EP, released September 15th, 2026, brings together the singles “Outdoor Shower,” “Hay Fever,” and “Red Light” with “Off Switch,” an unreleased track that completes the project. Across its short runtime, the Brooklyn-based twin sisters explore what it feels like to be caught between where you thought you would be and where you actually are.

The songs are full of moments that will feel familiar to anyone who has experienced the strange disorientation of early adulthood. There are feelings of being left behind, romantic disappointment, isolation, and uncertainty about what comes next, but Ruby & Sasha never allow those themes to become overly heavy. Their understated humor provides a welcome counterpoint to the more vulnerable moments, while their diaristic lyrics give each song the feeling of a personal entry shared directly with the listener.

Much of the EP’s appeal also comes from the duo’s natural vocal chemistry. Their close harmonies sit beautifully within a sound that draws from indie, folk, and country influences. Acoustic guitars and dreamy melodies are joined by pedal steel, strings, piano, harmonica, bass, and percussion, giving the arrangements a warm and spacious quality. The production by Daniel Markus keeps the instrumentation supportive and detailed, allowing the sisters’ voices and songwriting to remain at the center.

Ultimately, Outdoor Shower feels like an honest record about not having everything figured out. Ruby & Sasha capture the frustration of standing still while everyone else appears to be moving forward, but they also recognize that uncertainty can eventually lead to clarity. That balance gives the EP its emotional resonance. As their first complete body of work, it presents Ruby & Sasha as a duo with a distinctive sound, an instinctive vocal connection, and a knack for making intensely personal experiences feel universal.
