Sunday Smoke has unveiled another new single in 2026, the fantastically funky new track ‘Complex’. Their charming indie shimmer is underlined by an excitable guitar groove in the early moments, then pulls back into another more personal space.
Building an enticing rhythm from the guitars to the bass to the drums, a slightly melancholic indie vocal performance is lifted along the energetic back beat. The chorus rises further, but the atmosphere expands into a catchy, twinkling space, bringing their exploration of a friendship’s fragility when love takes the wheel into the sonic space as well as the lyrical. Once again, Sunday Smoke has continued to refine at a rapid pace, resulting in an inspiring but wistful and dreamy four-minute wonder.
