Thiago Trosso returns with his fourth release of this year via his glorious new album, Magnet, completing a hat trick of LPs in his journey to date. The album twists and morphs through high-tempo, pop-punk-inspired tracks, ambitious segues into more tempered tracks, and previously lauded singles.
The album draws influence from Frank Turner, Passenger, and Noah Kahan, while remaining firmly Thiago’s own unique sound. Trosso has achieved global reach, with his songs accumulating millions of streams. His concurrent successes include landing four UK chart spots in 2023 with London-based band Popes of Chillitown, and performing at major festivals across four continents with Brazil-based band Abraskadabra, who signed with labels in the US and Brazil. A proven songwriter, his work has been featured in films, TV series, and adverts, and he has earned cuts with artists in Taiwan.
The Brazilian-born artist, who now resides in England’s capital, has been writing since 2003 and relocated in 2015 after sharing stages with a wealth of artists who inspired Thiago’s writing and musicianship. Now, via Magnet, his work is at its best, still climbing a summit that shows no sign of tapering off.
