The third glimpse into upcoming album Magnet, songwriter Thiago Trosso has unveiled his new track ‘Future’s Looking Bright’, with a vibrant forward momentum filled with layers of guitars, vocals and drums.
Opening on a glistening finger-picked acoustic line, it opens with a lightness it carries into its climaxes. Spacious and poetic, more rhythms arrive, thumping drums and electric guitars amongst them. It gradually flourishes from a distinctly intimate alternative folk to something with the swell of more indie or pop-leaning folk blends. Just shy of four minutes, listeners will have a constantly rising optimism and uplifting sense that may well linger until the full album’s release later this year.
In Thiago’s words, “‘Future’s Looking Bright’ explores the exciting feeling of being free from a toxic relationship and having almost infinite possibilities ahead without anyone holding you back and consuming your energy.”
Brazilian-born, London-based singer-songwriter has roots in punk, ska, and reggae scenes and has been active for over two decades across Brazil and the UK. Achieving a global fanbase with international tours and chart success, Magnet, his new album, is set to be the most personal and intentional to date.
