PREMIERE: Bran Capri x Jerk Fjundyem release stunning debut hip-hop infused EP ‘Dawn of Distortions’

Newcomers Bran Capri and Jerk Fjundyem have already made their mark onto the hip-hop scene with their first release ‘P.O.V’ a couple of weeks back. Now, we exclusively premiere their new EP ‘Dawn of Distortions’ here at Music Crowns.

An EP that is full of surprises and genre fluency, standout track ‘A Thousand Terraced Houses’ is a riveting and dark hip-hop offering that if full of angst and grit. John Dole once again makes an appearance as he does in ‘P.O.V’, and brings an energy that is unmatched in this very exciting band of hip-hop that does continue to stand out.

‘Her Interlude’ showcases a complete switch in sonics, where featured artists Frankie Jobling, IMOGEN and Jodie Nicholson create a beautiful wash of harmonies and piano melodies that take you to another place entirely.

This identifies another fresh experimentation from Bran and Jerk, where ‘Outrolude’ even has remnants of early Bon Iver in the vocals and arrangements. An EP that seems to have all bases covered, ‘Dawn of Distortions’ has something for everyone, from hip-hop and rap to ethereal, melancholic pop, check it out and hear for yourself.
