Reubencmg has set his sights on his newest mixtape AWONTIRIM, set to be unveiled later this year. Before then, he has dropped a new single, outro, which is produced by BHriz, following the single Summer Here and Gone released earlier this year.
There is little excess within this arrangement, largely made up of piano and vocals, with shrewd, well-timed intimate rap flair, discussing themes of connection and closeness. With support from Reprezent Radio and The Pit LDN, Reubencmg has already found listeners across the UK. outro offers them a glimpse of where his next project may lead.
Reubencmg explains:
“My new single ‘Outro’ from my upcoming tape ‘AWONTIRIM’ is a deeply important and seminal track for me, not least because of the process of making it. This was during a time in my life where I was searching for meaning and a way to express myself. My producer BHriz sent the beat and I was straight away stunned by how beautiful and sombre the production was. I made the spine of the track as I freestyled while walking through the park and came up with the flow and how I would deliver it, almost poem, spoken-word-like. The first thought that hit me was about love, which is why this is a love track, touching on themes of connection and closeness.”
